Israel-Gaza War

Here's proof IDF genuinely isn't sure whether Yahya Sinwar is alive or dead

A flow chart hanging on the wall of an IDF briefing room suggests the army is seriously considering the possibility that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is dead.

The IDF Chief of Staff released a video statement today (Sunday) on the strike in Yemen against the Houthis, which accidentally revealed a very interesting detail: two charts of terrorist organizations - Hamas and Hezbollah - with all of the leaders eliminated marked by an X.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has a question mark instead of a picture, suggesting that the IDF believes it's not clear whether the Hamas leader, who has made no contact with the outside world in weeks, is alive or dead.

The IDF did say it was seriously investigating the possibility that Sinwar was eliminated in an IDF strike, but have not yet come to a firm conclusion either way.

The IDF was similarly cautious after a strike against Hamas military leader Mohammad Deif, waiting for clear and unequivocal confirmation of the strike's success before officially stating his death.
