A rare and unusual sight was documented last night (Saturday) in the heart of the Iranian capital, in which opponents of the regime changed the name of a street sign to "Netanyahu."
The character's description reads: "Binyamin Street, the purifier of evil," with a thick allusion to the actions of the State of Israel, headed by Netanyahu, against the extremist regime in Iran.
Last Thursday, Netanyahu addressed the citizens of Iran in another video, this time against the backdrop of the fall of the Assad regime. In the video, Netanyahu spoke in English, and towards the end of his speech, he expressed the political Persian slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" that challenges the regime.
Netanyahu told the Iranians, "I want to make it clear: Israel wants peace. We want peace with everyone who really wants peace with us. I have no doubt that you, the citizens of Iran, know this. I know that just as we want peace with you, you want peace with us. However, you are suffering under the control of a regime that enslaves you and threatens us."
The Prime Minister went on to say, "Do you know what this regime is really afraid of? He is afraid of you – the Iranian people. And one day, I know it, one day it will change. The day will come when Iran will be free. Women, Life, Freedom - Woman, Life, Freedom. This is the future of Iran. This is a future of peace. And I have no doubt that we will realize this future together – much sooner than people think. I know and I believe that we will make the Middle East a beacon of prosperity, progress and peace. Thank you."
