Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited an anti-air IDF unit today (Wednesday), where he was briefed on efforts to defend Israel against threats from hostile craft from all directions.

While there, he addressed the strike last night which eliminated Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah's no. 2 leader whom Israel holds responsible for the Majdal Shams massacre, saying the operation was "precise and professional."

Gallant also told the unit that "We do not seek war, but we are preparing for all possibilities. As such, you must prepare accordingly, while we do our job at the higher levels."

Moments after the strike itself was reported, Gallant posted on X that "Hezbollah crossed the red line."
