WATCH: What is the Alpha Line, the area between Syria and Israel?

The Alpha Line is the military ceasefire line established between Israel and Syria after the 1973 Yom Kippur War. It serves as a de facto border and demarcation line, running through the Golan Heights region. The line is monitored by UNDOF (United Nations Disengagement Observer Force) as part of the 1974 disengagement agreement between Israel and Syria.

The line has gained renewed attention during the current regional conflicts due to occasional spillover incidents and concerns about its stability in the changing security environment.

This just makes us appreciate the tireless efforts of our IDF soldiers even more. We have no idea of the threats that are facing us on every single border, or the efforts they make to protect us.
