Are we on the way to an arrangement in the north? According to various reports in the Lebanese media, it is very likely. Yoni Ben-Menachem, senior orientalist and researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, was interviewed this morning (Tuesday) on Channel 14's 'Israel Morning' program.

"According to the leaks coming from Lebanon, if Iran gives the green light to the agreement and tells Hezbollah that they can approve it, it means that the agreement is good for Iran and Hezbollah – that is, very bad for Israel," he said.

"The talk that the Lebanese army will dismantle Hezbollah is a bad joke," the orientalist attacked, "Only Israel can disarm Hezbollah, not UNIFIL and not the Lebanese army, we need to stop deceiving ourselves and not rely on guarantees from the Biden administration, which ends its term in two months."
