IDF special forces have been operating since last night (Monday to Tuesday) in extensive counterterrorism operations in the Jenin area. The IDF carried out a "pressure cooker" procedure on a building in Qabatiya where terrorists barricaded themselves. Three terrorists were eliminated on the spot. There were no casualties on the Israeli side.

This activity will continue in the area for the next few hours. Last week, hte IDF under the direction of the Shin Bet eliminated the head of the terrorist infrastructure in Tulkarm and another wanted man who were involved in carrying out attacks as well as planning additional terrorist activity.

Two weeks ago, the IDF completed another three-day operation in northern Samaria. The forces, including fighters from the Haruv Patrol, Duvdevan in reserve duty and the Border Police, under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, operated in a number of locations in the Menashe Brigade: Jenin, Tulkarem, Nur a-Shams, Qabatiya and other villages in the area.

Since the beginning of the war, over 350 terrorists have been eliminated in the Menashe Brigade area – Jenin and Tulkarem. Over 50 brigade operations were carried out in these regions.
