Air Force commander Tomer Bar spoke this evening (Thursday) at the completion of the flight course Hatzerim base, where he addressed the war in Gaza and in the north.

"We are in the midst of the longest war in our history since the War of Independence. We are fighting almost nine months without a break," he said. "This is a war more just than any other. We set out to it against our will, but we are driven by purpose and motivation."

He said that "Hamas in Gaza will be defeated soon, and we are ready against Hezbollah in the north. We have the means for it, we have the capabilities, we certainly have the fortitude and the fighting spirit."

"The path is not easy. We walk and we will continue to walk it. We are not counting the steps, we are fighting with everything we have."
