On the sixth day of the cease-fire, Defense Minister Gallant arrived today (Wednesday) to visit the Ministry of Defense's Military Directorate, where he toured and watched the rehabilitation process for the tanks and armored personnel carriers that were damaged during the fighting, before returning them to the battlefield: "If anyone has a doubt - very soon we will continue the ground operation all over Gaza."
His words: "I have just finished a visit to the tank factory. I saw up close how all the tanks are brought back to service. The results are very impressive, the workers, fighters and soldiers work 24/7 on these missions. These tanks are already in the hands of the forces after they have been taken care of, I am saying here, soon the tanks, the armored vehicle carriers and all the other armored vehicles will return to action all over Gaza. If anyone has any doubts, very soon we will continue, maneuver and reach the defeat of the enemy and the return of the abductees to their homes."
The Minister of Defense met with representatives of the Israeli armored fighting vehicle industries, and expressed his appreciation for the rapid restoration of the vehicles and their return to combat. Also, Minister Gallant observed a number of innovative protection solutions, which were developed during the fighting and are already being used by IDF fighters in the territory of the Gaza Strip. The visit was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Defense Major General (res.) Eyal Zamir, the head of the Planning Division in the IDF Major General Eyal Harel, the head of the Directorate of the Armored Fighting Vehicle Program in the Ministry of Defense, Lt. Col. Oren Giber and other officials in the defense system.
