The Houthi attacks have resumed? The British Maritime Trade Operations Center announced this morning (Tuesday) that a commercial vessel was attacked in the Red Sea, near the shores of Al-Hudaydah in Yemen. No injuries or damage to the ship have been reported, which is now making its way to the nearby port.
According to the center's statement, the attack occurred around 3:00 AM, with explosions recorded near the ship. It was also mentioned that the local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with ships in the area being called to exercise extra caution and report any suspicious activity.
The current attack comes after three days of calm in the Red Sea, with the last incident in the area occurring on November 9 – when a commercial ship had to deviate from its course near Aden in Yemen. Last weekend, an attack by the American military was reported in Sana'a, Yemen, with reports indicating four strikes in the capital city.
