NBC: Biden to discuss with Jill whether to stay in the race following debate debacle

According to one person familiar with the situation, Biden has been feeling "humiliated, devoid of confidence" since his debate with former President Trump Thursday night.

President Biden is set to discuss the future of his reelection campaign with his family today (Sunday) and especially his wife Jill, according to NBC.

Following Biden's debate with former President Donald Trump last Thursday night on CNN, when Biden appeared "meandering, incoherent and difficult to hear," as well as struggling to find the words to say, many in the media and among liberal pundits openly called on him to exit the race.

These include the New York Times editorial board, multiple opinion writers for the times, and several center-left media hosts. Many liberal columnists have also speculated aloud as to who could replace Biden at this late date.

For their part, most in the Democratic party, including Congressional leaders, remain foresquare behind the President in his reelection effort, with the exception of a handful of Congressmembers who have not been identified.
