Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, the Chabad UAE emissary who went missing last week and is suspected kidnapped or murdered by Iranian agents, served in the Givati Brigade's Charedi company, according to Kann reporter Itay Blumenthal.
According to his family, Kogan sometimes went against the grain and operated according to his beliefs out of a sense of mission for both the state he loved and the Chabad he believed in.
Kogan opened the first kosher supermarket in the UAE, called Rimon, and was well-known and liked by his superior and those who worked with him.
The Mossad has sent a delegation to Dubai to try and work on finding out his fate and whereabouts.
