Report: New round of hostage negotiations to start in Cairo

Qatari outlet al-Araby al-Jadeed reports that a delegation led by Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar is set to go to Cairo to discuss a new proposal for a hostage deal with Hamas.

Qatari outlet al-Araby al-Jadeed reported today (Wednesday) that a new Israeli delegation led by Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar is heading for Cairo for a new round of hostage negotiations with Hamas.

Egypt has reportedly been working on a new proposal to end the war and return the hostages, and have hosted delegations of Fatah and Hamas to discuss not only the terms of the deal but also the envisioned future governance of the Gaza Strip after the war ends.
