The head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, and the Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, visited Cairo today (Tuesday) and met with the head of Egyptian intelligence. According to sources, the meeting did not specifically address the hostage deal but rather regional security issues.

We remind you that this morning it was reported in Israel Hayom that a source close to the negotiations for the hostage deal told the Saudi channel "Al-Sharq" that Khalil Al-Hayya's delegation in Cairo handed over an initial list of living Israeli hostages to Egyptian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Hassan Rashad. According to the report, the list includes four or five hostages with American citizenship.

The source from the Hamas delegation said that in exchange for the release of the same number of living hostages, the organization is interested in the release of one hundred security prisoners with long sentences.

According to the source, if Israel agrees, the ceasefire agreement will begin under the supervision of the mediators for an initial period of 6 to 8 weeks, and the process of releasing the hostages and security prisoners will start immediately, along with the introduction of additional supplies to the Gaza Strip.
