Released hostage Noa Argamani spoke at an emergency session at the Israeli President's Residence, revealing harrowing details of her captivity in Gaza and the injuries she sustained while being held by Hamas.
Argamani recounted a devastating airstrike on the building where she was being held alongside fellow hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itai Svirsky. Sharabi did not survive the strike, and Svirsky was killed two days later. His body was only recently returned to Israel.
"I was left there bleeding, with severe head injuries, and received no medical care whatsoever," Argamani testified. "No Red Cross, no doctors – absolutely no one came to help."
The former hostage referenced a propaganda video of her that Hamas released in January, noting that she chose to show only the "shorter, censored version" to spare the audience from more disturbing content.
"The doctors who examined me after my release said my survival was nothing short of a medical miracle," she said. "While I was forced to appear in Hamas propaganda videos, I know there are many other hostages suffering similar situations who aren't even able to tell anyone that they are actually alive."
Argamani concluded her emotional testimony with a painful reminder about the hostages still in captivity: "We have no idea about the condition of the 100 people still being held in Gaza. Their fate could be even worse than what I went through."
Her appearance at the President's Residence comes as international pressure continues to mount for the release of remaining hostages held in Gaza since the October 7 attacks.
