In an air strike on Nabatieh based on IDF intelligence, the IDF eliminated Mustafa Ahmad Shahadi, the deputy commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan force.
Shahadi advanced multiple terror plans against the IDF and the State of Israel. Shahadi was also in charge of Radwan force operations during fighting in Syria in 2012-2017 and was in effective charge of combat operations in southern Lebanon at the same time.
This assassination continues the IDF approach of doing everything it can to decapitate Hezbollah's senior leadership, including any and all replacements, starting with Hezbollah's military chief Fuad Shukr and peaking with the elimination of its long-time chief Hassan Nasrallah.
