IDF sources report that dozens of Israelis, some masked, gathered near Itamar in the Samaria region earlier today (Shabbat), escalating into a violent confrontation. The protesters threw stones at IDF and Border Police forces who arrived at the scene. Security forces dispersed the crowd and arrested five suspects. No injuries were reported.

This incident follows yesterday's attempted attack on Central Command General Avi Bluth during the "Chayei Sarah" Shabbat in Hebron. Protesters chased Bluth and his accompanying officers, shouting "traitor" and "enemy of Israel," and blocked his vehicle as he was en route to operational activities. Five were arrested in that incident.

Defense Minister Israel Katz strongly condemned yesterday's attack on General Blut on social media: "An attack on IDF commanders and soldiers, who dedicate their lives to Israel's security and its citizens, is an attack on the entire State of Israel. I expect law enforcement authorities to bring those involved to justice."

The IDF spokesperson stated: "The IDF strongly condemns any violence against its service members and views such incidents with utmost severity."
