Captain Eitan Oster- fallen hero of the Egoz unit

The 22-year-old was killed in Lebanon battle on Rosh Hashanah eve.

Captain Eitan Oster, a soldier in the Egoz commando unit, was killed during the fighting in Lebanon. His funeral will take place today (Wednesday), Rosh Hashanah eve, at 3:30 p.m., at the military section on Mount Herzl.

Eitan, a graduate of AMIT High School in Modiin, is survived by his parents and six brothers and sisters. Residents of Modiin Maccabim Reut are invited to come and take part in the chain of flags that will accompany the family from Eitan's home at 29 Galil Street at 1:50 p.m.

Eitan is the first casualty since the beginning of the ground maneuver in Lebanon. Earlier, it was reported that the maneuver was expanding and that the 36th Division was joining the ground operations alongside the Golani Brigade, the Armored Brigade, the Etzioni Brigade and other forces operating in the border area.
