Minister Katz Reveals: IAF Involved in Pager Explosions that Wounded Thousands of Hezbollah Fighters.
While discussing the IAF’s operations in Lebanon, Katz explained, "We reached a ceasefire in Lebanon which stemmed from the capabilities and the blow that Hezbollah suffered. This force certainly was a central player in this, and it was also part of the pagers (explosions)."
However, the Ministry of Defense spokesperson altered Katz's comments in its official statement, omitting the specific mention of the pager explosions. Instead, the spokesperson referenced the IAF’s role in using "technological means" and what occurred afterward, including operations against Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Despite this, the footage of Katz's visit clearly shows him acknowledging the IAF's involvement in the explosions, according to Israel National News reports.
Katz later emphasized that Israel's military actions were essential for bringing peace and security back to northern Israel. "This is the only reason peace can return to the North, so we can return the residents and restore security," he said. "We are in a trial period, and we have no tolerance for violations. We operated yesterday and will not compromise on these issues."
