Channle 12 reported that Rimon Kirsht, who was released from Hamas captivity as part of the hostage deal, eulogized her partner Yagev Buchshtab whose body was recovered from Gaza and brought for burial. "I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for saving me, and thank you for having saved me. Not just on October 7th, you've been saving me for years."
"Thank you for teaching me about love and strengthening me, I love you," Kirsht said at the funeral.
Avraham Munder, whose body was recovered from Khan Yunis as part of the same operation, was also laid to rest. His wife Ruti eulogized him: "We've known each other for 62 years, and for 58 of them we lived together in harmony despite our differences. You were an honest man devoted to your loved ones, and you especially loved our grandson Ohad. We've been missing you for a long time and I and we need you," she said over his grave.
Shoshi, Munder's sister, said: "We are burying my beloved brother who was murdered in captivity after physical and mental torture. I could talk for hours about his kindness, about hours of concern. No one prepared me for the farewell in our phone call on October 7th. Who would have believed I wouldn't hear his voice again."
"This is not the end we really hoped for," Shoshi continued. "I didn't understand how he was getting through the last few months. The state reached you ten months late, you really didn't deserve this."
