Israel is at war. The IDF permitted the publication this evening (Thursday) that Lieutenant Ivri Dickstein, may his memory be a blessing, from the settlement of Eli in Binyamin, a resident of Elazar in Gush Etzion, fell in battle in southern Lebanon.

Ivri, 21 years old, an officer in Golani, got married a year and three months ago. He left behind his wife Miriam, parents, and five siblings. Ilan, his father, is a retired colonel, former commander of the Etzioni Brigade and former commander of the Golani Reconnaissance Battalion.

Professional teams from the settlement of Eli and the council are accompanying the family at this time," the regional council in Benjamin stated.

Head of the Benjamin Regional Council, Israel Gantz: "We have lost Ivri, a warrior officer from the finest of Benjamin's sons, who grew up and was educated here, fought like a hero, and fell in defense of the people and the land. Our hearts are with Ivri's wife, with his parents Ilan and Tzofia, and with the entire family. We are supporting the residents of the settlement of Eli. The community of Eli, along with the other communities of Binyamin, is at the forefront of the war and is paying the painful price for the revival of the people of Israel in their land."

Funeral details will be published later.
