IDF forces arrested the suspect in the car-ramming attack this evening near the Hashmonaim crossing in Benjamin, in which two female soldiers were lightly injured. The suspect was arrested after the village was besieged, and he was transferred for interrogation.

A few hours after a Palestinian vehicle ran over two Israelis near the Hashmonaim crossing in Benjamin, an IDF spokesperson confirmed now (Wednesday) that the forces have arrested the suspect responsible for the vehicular attack, and he has been transferred for further investigation by the security forces.

According to the military's statement, "A suspect arrived by car this evening at a checkpoint at the entrance to Deir Qaddis in the Ephraim Brigade, ran over IDF female soldiers, and fled the scene." The circumstances of the event are under investigation. During the siege of the village by IDF forces, in cooperation with the Israel Police and the Shin Bet, the fighters arrested the suspect.

At the same time, it was permitted to publish that two IDF female soldiers were lightly injured in the attack. The female fighters were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital, and their families were notified.
