The religious-nationalist strategic advisor Dor Harlap announced that he will run for mayor of Giv'at Shmuel in the elections that will be held this October.
Harlap, 32 years old, married to Neta, owner of a strategic consulting firm and chairman of the organization 'Chazon Leuomi' which gives young people the tools to lead and influence the country while strengthening ideology on free market economy and Jewish identity. In addition, he serves as a regular commentator on Channel 14.
He began his public career at the age of 16 in the Likud Youth. He later served as an assistant to senior Likud officials Yariv Levin and Yoav Kisch and as an assistant to Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg.
Upon announcing his candidacy for mayor of Giv'at Shmuel, Harlap said: "Something new is coming to Giv'at Shmuel. In conversations with old and young residents, it is clear that the city needs a refresh in the form of a young and active mayor who will invest wholeheartedly in the city and its residents."
Harlap, who comes with experience in the political and municipal world, noted: "With my experience and ability, I will form strategic partners for the empowerment of the city, among other things, with the government, industry and academia around us, philanthropic foundations, and more."
