The Russian Foreign Ministry has condemned the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as "political murder."

The ministry further said in a statement that "We once again insistently urge Israel to immediately cease military action."

Tehran City Council Chairman Mahdi Chamran announced that a street in the Iranian capital will be named after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by the IDF two days ago describing the move as a "symbol of support for the axis of resistance,” according to Iran International.

Iran has reportedly also unveiled a mural in the capital in memory of Nasralla, accompanied by a verse from the Quran that "Behold, the help of Allah is near."
