While members of the opposition have come out in strong opposition to Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to fire Defense Minister Gallant tonight (Tuesday), members of his coalition are coming to his defense.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said that he "congratulates the Prime Minister for the decision to fire Gallant. With Gallant who was still deeply captured by the preconceptions, we cannot reach an absolute victory - and the Prime Minister did well in removing him from his position."

Meanwhile, Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said that "Gallant did not manage to rise to the heroic spirit of our brave soldiers who demand victory. There is no schadenfreude, God forbid, but there is happiness for our dear soldiers who will finally earn a leading and winning right hand headed by Netanyahu."

He then cast his attention to the Attorney General, who has also been viewed as being a hindrance for the government's effort to conduct the war: "the last one left to interrupt and fight the government is Mrs. Miara. Send her home, now."
