Ongoing Operation: IDF reservists, Shin Bet, and Border Police forces continue their counter-terrorism operation in Tulkarm under the command of the Menashe Brigade. The operation has been ongoing for over 35 hours, with forces continuing to operate in the city at this moment.
So far, engineering units have uncovered dozens of explosive devices hidden beneath roads to target soldiers. Additionally, the troops have searched hundreds of buildings, arrested over 15 wanted individuals, and discovered numerous weapons, combat gear, and destroyed explosives. During the searches, the forces located and destroyed an explosives workshop and a Hamas surveillance drone.
During the operation, the fighters engaged in gunfire exchanges and confrontations with armed militants who fired and hurled explosives. So far, at least eight militants have been neutralized, some during air raids.
Simultaneously with the operation, the fighters arrested 21 wanted individuals in various locations in Judea and Samaria. In the Al-Arroub camp in the Etzion Brigade, 10 wanted individuals were apprehended, and in the village of Harmala in the Gush Etzion area, 10 suspects were interrogated. In the village of Ras Atiya in the Ephraim Brigade, the fighters discovered combat equipment.
In the city of Qalqilya in the Samaria Brigade, a Border Police fighter was injured by detonated explosives aimed at him and was evacuated for medical treatment to the hospital; his family has been notified. In the city of Hebron, the fighters discovered numerous combat equipment and flags belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization.
According to IDF spokesperson data, since the beginning of the war, approximately 2,700 wanted individuals have been arrested in the wider Judea and Samaria Division, including the Jordan Valley and the Judea and Samaria Division. Over 1,300 of them are affiliated with the Hamas terrorist organization.
