Pollard’s hardline take on protecting Israel

Ex-spy Jonathan Pollard shares six principles of war

Ex-agent urges Israel to embrace decisive warfare: "The enemy must be annihilated."

Former Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard, who made aliyah in 2020 after serving 30 years in a U.S. prison, has emerged as a provocative voice in Israel's national discourse. In a recent exclusive ILTV News podcast interview, Pollard delivered a bold vision for Israel’s security strategy, rooted in six uncompromising principles.

“We need to fundamentally change how we approach threats,” Pollard said during the 30-minute interview. His first principle called for the reimplementation of preventive and preemptive warfare, emphasizing the necessity of striking enemies before they can act.

Pollard’s second principle advocated for Israel to take the fight to enemy territory, ensuring battles are fought far from its own borders. The third principle rejected proportionality in warfare, calling it a limiting concept in achieving decisive victories.

“We have to stop managing the enemy,” Pollard declared as his fourth principle. “No more mowing the grass or pursuing ceasefires. Instead, we must annihilate the enemy entirely and decisively.”

Pollard’s fifth principle acknowledged Israel’s right to use nuclear weapons if necessary. Finally, his sixth and most controversial principle urged annexation, a move he framed as a natural outcome of conflict.

“If you come to fight us, we’ll not only annihilate you, but we’ll take your land,” Pollard explained. “This should apply to places like Gaza and southern Lebanon.”
