A day after the riots at the airport in Dagestan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that "Those seeking Russia's harm used information and horrific images from Gaza to incite and motivate people. This external influence led to the riots."

The Russian Ministry of the Interior announced that 60 suspects who took part in riots at the airport in Dagestan were arrested, out of about 150 rioters identified. The governor of the state condemned: "This is a blatant violation of the law. There is no courage in a crowd waiting for helpless people."

A riot at Dagestan Airport has led the Prime Minister's Office and Foreign Ministry to declare their expectation that local law enforcement will protect its citizens.
