Against the background of the fighting in the south and the Hamas terror attack, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke yesterday (Sunday) with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed regional developments in the wake of the murderous Hamas attack against Israeli citizens. It was also reported that Netanyahu stressed that Israel is determined to destroy Hamas’ military and governmental capabilities, doing everything it can to avoid harming non-combatants. They ended the call by agreeing to keep in touch.

Kan 11 previously reported that Netanyahu is expected to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the first conversation between the two since the war in the south began last week.

The Prime Minister also invited American President Joe Biden to visit in support of Israel this week. According to reports, the White House is considering the invitation. If it accepts, this will be the second time Biden visits the country as President.
