According to data collected and published by the United Nations, in July of this year a record of nearly twenty years was broken in the number of people entering Israel from the Gaza Strip, as a result of the number of Gazan workers working in the country.
According to data published by the UN, individuals exited the Gaza Strip into Israel 67,769 times, reaching a peak that is close to 20 years of Israel and Gaza relations.
According to UN statistics, these numbers result from the Gazan laborers who have been entering Israel in recent years for the purpose of their livelihoods, as part of the arrangements between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the increase in the number of Palestinian laborers contributes to the issue, as the number of Palestinian workers in the Gaza Strip who have obtained work permits in Israel has already reached over 17,000. They enter and exit Israel on a relatively regular basis.
