Iran, Hezbollah

Iran's Supreme Leader claims "Hezbollah is winning" - while Iran is staying away from direct involvement

This effort at congratulation comes as Iran has so far balked at directly intervening in the war in the north.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei took to X today (Wednesday) posting that in the war between the IDF and Hezbollah, "Hezbollah is the victor."

This tweet comes following an Axios that Hezbollah has requested Iranian direct intervention in the war, only to be told the time is not appropriate for such intervention.

Iran is, however, likely behind Hezbollah efforts to restock their rocket and missile stocks following hundreds of IDF sorties aimed at degrading and diminishing Hezbollah's storied projectile arsenal.

About 1,500 Hezbollah operatives have been taken out of service due to injuries following the beeper and communication device attack, Reuters reported today. According to them, many "were blinded or lost hands" as a result of the device explosions.
