In a post published today (Tuesday) on X, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennet sharply criticized the emerging ceasefire deal, saying it does not deal with any of the threats posed by Hezbollah.

Bennett said the agreement a case where an "incredible military success of the soldiers and commanders of the IDF is being translated into a complete diplomatic-security failure."

In a video Bennett posted alongside the statement, he said that "there are three threats to the residents of the north - infiltration, direct missiles, and the rockets. The emerging agreement does not provide a response to any one of them."

Bennet explained that since the agreement did not include a buffer zone preventing Hezbollah or Lebanon from rebuilding houses and buildings along the border, those structures can then serve as forward bases for a future infiltration option or for firing rockets and missiles on the north.
