A statement issued by the G7 foreign ministers today (Tuesday) said that each state would "comply with respective obligations" regarding the arrest warrants against Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant issued by the ICC.
This means that all countries outside the United States will arrest Netanyahu or Gallant if they land on their soil, and that the United States - which is not a party to the Rome Treaty and which rejects its jurisdiction - will enact no sanctions against any country enforcing the warrant.
Israel has until tomorrow to appeal the decision to issue the warrants, and the ICC Spokesperson said they could be withdrawn if Israel conducted a "serious, national" investigation into the allegations which led to the issuance of the warrants.
