Reuters published today (Sunday) up-to-date satellite images from military sites attacked by the Israeli air force (IAF) aircraft on Saturday, indicating that the attack caused heavy damage to the ballistic missile industry.
Researcher Dakar al-Abeth claims, based on satellite images, that Israel has dealt a significant blow to Iran's ability to manufacture missiles. Al-Abeth stressed that this would make it difficult for any future Iranian missile attack to penetrate Israel's air defenses.
"Israel says they attacked buildings with solid-fuel mixers", said al-Abeth. "These industrial mixers are difficult to manufacture. Iran has imported many of them over the years for huge sums, and it is likely that it will find it difficult to replace them."
The photos show that the buildings at the military missile manufacturing sites were surrounded by high mountains of dirt. According to Reuters, the earthen mounds were built to prevent a chain reaction in case one building caught fire as a result of flammable materials exploding.
