A News 14 survey conducted by the Direct Polls Institute reveals that half of the public in the State of Israel do not trust the law enforcement authorities' handling of the investigation and the detention conditions of the suspects in the leaks case. The survey, published this evening (Tuesday) in the news edition, highlights the gaps in public attitudes towards the law enforcement system.

The respondents in the survey were asked whether they trust the way the investigation is being handled and the conduct towards the suspects. The results indicate a widespread sense of skepticism among the public regarding the functioning of law enforcement authorities.

The survey was conducted against the backdrop of public and media discussions surrounding the leaks and the handling of suspects, and it reflects the criticism and dilemmas regarding the conduct of law enforcement agencies.

The sample was conducted by Shlomo Filber and Tzuriel Sharon through Direct Polls Ltd. for Channel 14 Now on November 19, 2024, using a digital system combined with a panel, among 810 adult respondents (18+) representing a representative sample of the general population in Israel. The statistical sampling error is ±3.9% with a probability of 95%.
