In a further sign of the escalating hostilities in the north between IDF and Hezbollah, security sources told the Hezbollah-linked paper al-Akhbar that UNIFIL has asked its civilian employees and their families to evacuate north of the Litani River, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Meantime, the Lebanese Health Ministry has just updated today (Monday) that 50 people were killed and 300 wounded in IDF strikes this morning, though without providing any breakdown in terms of terrorists and civilians.

The Health Ministry also announced that non-urgent surgeries in southern Lebanon and in the Bekaa region will be delayed for the sake of treating the wounded from the IDF strikes.

The IDF Spokesperson said that the army has struck 300 targets so far today alone, with more strikes expected throughout the day.

Meantime, the Defense Minister has stated that the Israeli public needs to prepare for days of hard fighting ahead and pay close attention to the instructions of rear command in case of increased danger to civilian areas.
