Rockets and drones - or assassinating Israeli officials? Shin Bet reportedly beefing up personal security against Iran

The growing assessment in Israel is that Iran or Hezbollah are waiting for the opportunity to strike at Israel, and that this may come in the form of personal assassinations rather than projectile salvos.

Senior Israeli officials told Ynet that the Iranian retaliation for Israel's assassination of terrorist leaders may not come in the expected form of missiles and drones, and may indeed be instead an assassination campaign against Israeli officials - including ministers, MKs, and senior defense officials of all branches.

Consequently, the Shin Bet has increased its readiness and handed down strict instructions for all its organs.
