ICC's decision causes a stir

At the White House, they condemned the issuance of arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, stating that "the U.S. firmly rejects the absurd decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague."

America stands with Israel: The White House said this evening (Thursday) that "the U.S. firmly rejects the absurd decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant." It was also stated that senior Biden administration officials are now consulting with Israeli leaders regarding the "next steps" to be taken following the issuance of the arrest warrants.

"We are still very concerned about the prosecutor's speed in requesting arrest warrants, and the troubling errors in the process that led to this decision," said John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council. "It was clear to the United States that the court has no jurisdiction in this matter."

Meanwhile, American congressional members also condemned the decision of the court in The Hague. U.S. Congressman Anthony D'Esposito said, "The International Criminal Court is humiliating itself again in its attempt to pursue Israeli leaders who launched a justified war to defend themselves against Hamas terrorists. This step is the latest example of the deep-seated anti-Semitism that has taken over international institutions, which would be happy to do anything to weaken the Jewish state that is fighting for its survival."

Senator Lindsey Graham addressed outgoing President Joe Biden and incoming President Donald Trump: "If we don't act forcefully against the International Criminal Court after their insane decision to issue arrest warrants against the Prime Minister of Israel and the former Minister of Defense, we are making a huge mistake – and I fear the U.S. will be next in line. We must not let the world believe for a second that this is a justified judicial decision against Israel, because doing so means it could happen to us too."

Congresswoman Kathy Manning: "The court's decision is a distortion of justice by the court, which isolates and undermines Israel, our democratic ally." Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas terrorists, and the U.S. should stand by Israel and fight against this insane and harmful decision.
