Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, along with Council Head Dulan Abu Salah and Brigadier General Yair Pelai, visited Majdal Shams on Sunday morning to inspect the aftermath of a tragic rocket strike.
Gallant addressed the community with heartfelt remarks: “This is a very difficult event, and I am deeply pained about these children. The whole country and the entire army are with you.” He assured the families of his solidarity and reiterated that Hezbollah will be held accountable for the atrocity.
Last night, Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi visited the site of the recent rocket attack and met with Druze community leaders and local residents. Halevi criticized Hezbollah, stating, “Hezbollah does not differentiate between killing Druze or Jews. It is a terrorist organization intent on harming civilians and soldiers alike. We have been combating Hezbollah in the north for nearly ten months, dealing severe blows to their operations.”
He added, “I have been delayed here in discussions with the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. Our fight against Hezbollah will continue resolutely, and this incident will prompt a significant response.”
