One year since 7.10: 885 civilians were murdered, of which 53 were children. Looking into the horrific data behind October 7th and the awful affects of the attack and the following war until today.

The National Insurance Institute publishes the civilian bereavement data since the beginning of the war: 923 orphans, 232 widows and widowers, 1,086 bereaved parents who lost one child and 121 bereaved parents who were left with no children at all.

The National Insurance Institute is publishing today (Sunday) updated data on the number of civilians injured since the Hamas attack on the Gaza Strip on Simchat Torah, Israel. The data also includes the 7 victims of the attack in Jaffa last Tuesday.

One year since the massacre and the beginning of the war, the National Insurance Institute reports that 885 victims Civilians (not including security forces and standby classes handled by the Ministry of Defense) were added as part of the hostilities this year, 581 men and 304 women. The numbers include 72 foreign citizens who were murdered.

53 children can be named among the murdered. 4 toddlers aged 0-3, 2 children aged 3-5, 3 children aged 5-8, 17 children aged 8-14 and 27 teenagers aged 14-18.

From the beginning of the war, there were 923 orphans, 232 widows and widowers, 1,086 bereaved parents who lost one child and 121 bereaved parents who were left with no children at all.

Among the war orphans - 293 are orphaned children under the age of 18. Another chilling figure speaks of 12 families who experienced more than one loss - for example, a father and son or both parents - (not including entire families who were murdered). From 7.10 and during the war, the National Insurance took care of more than 70,000 victims of hostilities, of which 12 were amputees. Also, of all the victims of civilian hostilities this year, 647 are foreign citizens who were hit by the Hamas attack.

Out of all those recognized as victims of terrorism who received aid in the TTR (payment of medical treatment) and psychological treatment at the resilience centers, 12,728 submitted applications for permanent disability in the war, of which 11,760,000 are on a mental basis, 527 are for physical injury and 441 are with physical and mental injuries. The National Insurance Institute observes Already in the coming months, thousands more will be added to the disability track and the comprehensive assistance that accompanies it, both in the mental aspect and in the financial aspect.
