Biden hosts a survivor of Hamas captivity in the Oval Office, commits to freeing the remaining hostages

US President Joe Biden met this afternoon with Liat Atzili, an Israeli-American freed in the late November hostage agreement brokered by Washington, as reported by Ynet.

Atzili was joined by her family. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan also attended the meeting.

Biden later tweeted, “Liat Atzili is a survivor,” adding, “It was my honor to welcome her to the White House this evening, hear firsthand about her resilience despite enduring the unthinkable, and promise her that my work isn’t done until we secure the release of all remaining hostages held by Hamas.”
