Taliban to take 'joint action' against Israel

As a potential war with Hezbollah in Lebanon brews, Iran and the terror group the Taliban have announced their interest in becoming involved in a war against Israel.

The Taliban is offering thousands of fighters to support Iran's proxy Hezbollah in battling against Israel. Afghanistan's ruling Taliban has declared intentions to send thousands of troops to join forces with Hezbollah, Iran's proxy in Lebanon.

The Taliban has possession of millions of dollars worth of weapons that were abandoned by US forces upon their departure from the country in August 2021. It is probable that Taliban militants will bring some of the military vehicles and weapons if it indeed becomes involved in a war effort against Israel.

The Taliban and Iran worked together to expel US forces from Afghanistan and topple the Afghan government according to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD).

Taliban leaders have allowed Iran to send fighters to support Hezbollah in Lebanon against Israel. Taliban promised to send thousands of fighters to aid Iran's proxies in the Middle East like Hezbollah and Hamas.

Nasrallah mentioned that Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and other countries had offered to send tens of thousands of fighters to support Hezbollah in the war against Israel. Since Hezbollah claims to have over 100,000 fighters, Nasrallah apparently stated that they expressed gratitude for the offer but don't need the extra numbers.

Recently, Iran's interim foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani and Taliban foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaq talked about collaborating against Israel over their support for Hamas. Iran has been working on improving ties between the Taliban and Iranian regime, as well as Hezbollah.
