Hostage Update, Gantz

Gantz claims that Israel is aware of the Bibas family's fate

When asked about the condition of the Bibas family, who were taken hostage in Gaza over eight months ago, Gantz asserts that Israel knows the answer.

When probed for an update, Benny Gantz responds that he believes Israel knows the fate of the Bibas family, which has been held hostage in Gaza since October 7, but will not confirm the specifics at this time.

In a meeting with Kan 11, the State Camp party pioneer says "I think yes," when inquired as to whether Israel knows the destiny of Shiri, Yarden, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, who were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th.

"When things come to fruition," according to Gantz, the public will know their fates. He claims to have some information about the destiny of the Bibas family, kept prisoner in Gaza since October 7, yet has not digested details or any helpful information regarding his claim.

The previous IDF chief tells Channel 12 news that bringing back the hostages should be of first and foremost concern, even to the detriment of "changing the battling in Gaza."

He asserts that Jerusalem must look "years ahead" to ensure a safe and secure future, and that Israel should not be in charge of managing life in Gaza following the war. According to him, the longer Israel has waited and waited for a hostage release agreement, the more the cost has risen. "Sinwar sits in the tunnels and doesn't really care about his people, and all the pressure only increases on Israel," as he tells Channel 13 News.
