Dozens of teenagers arrived at the Erez crossing yesterday (Tuesday) and barricaded themselves in the terminal. Some even managed to cross into Gaza, demanding that Israel re-occupy the strip and open it to Jewish settlement.
"We are excited to be at the Erez crossing where thousands of Gazan workers crossed into Israel, obtaining information about Jewish communities that paved the way for the October 7th massacre and rape and slaughter of our brothers and sisters, may God avenge their blood," read a statement by the group.
"We want to thank the dear soldiers of who guard and protect us with their bodies day and night, treated us with the utmost respect, and joined us in singing: Security and victory = Jewish Gaza! The answer to terrorism is settling every inch of the Land of Israel - including Gaza! We call on our elected leaders to take up the issue."
The IDF stated: "As part of a demonstration by a number of citizens near the Erez crossing a short time ago, two activists violated IDF directives, violently broke through a military checkpoint manned by IDF forces, crossing the border area from Israeli territory into Gaza. The two demonstrators were detained and transferred for further questioning by the Israeli Police."
