The IDF spokesman announced a short while ago that two IDF soldiers were seriously injured last night, during an operation in the Gaza Strip to rescue hostages from Hamas. The forces raided the location of Hamas and eliminated terrorists who took part in the kidnapping and holding the hostages. The IDF emphasizes that no hostages were rescued in this activity and that a notification was given to the families of the injured.

The IDF statement reads: "The IDF continues to operate in a variety of operational and intelligence ways, together with the other security organizations, to release the abductees, and gather information about them. IDF representatives are in regular contact with the families of the abductees and update them with any verified information about their loved ones. The terrorist organization Hamas is trying and will try to create psychological terror. The spreading of unverified rumors and facts must be avoided."
