Following the ground incursion of IDF forces into the Gaza Strip that began yesterday, the Palestinian Red Crescent reports that they received an order to evacuate Al-Quds Hospital in the northern part of the Gaza Strip immediately. According to the claims of the Palestinian Red Crescent, IDF is conducting activities approximately fifty meters from the hospital.
According to Palestinian claims, there are 400 patients and 12,000 refugees in the hospital. A few days ago, it was reported that the hospital's director received a warning but refused to comply with the evacuation request.
Earlier today, IDF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari provided an update on the ground incursion into the Gaza Strip in the past day, explaining that the IDF has expanded the scope of its activities. He addressed the ongoing operations in the Gaza Strip, stating, "During the night, we expanded the entry of IDF forces into the Strip, and they joined the forces already engaged in combat. We are advancing through the stages of the battle according to the plan."
The instruction on evacuating the hospital after the beginning of the ground entry
IDF spokesperson mentioned that the ground operations are complex and involve risks for IDF forces. He emphasized that the army's approach to expanding ground operations is gradual and is included in the various combat options. He added, "We are doing everything within our capabilities from the air, sea, and land to ensure the security of our forces and achieve the goals of the war."
The spokesperson also addressed the northern region and mentioned that during the night, several targets and infrastructure of Hezbollah were attacked, and a warning was sent to Nasrallah: "Every Hezbollah fighter who enters the border area will be killed." IDF spokesperson also reported that 311 families of fallen IDF soldiers have been informed of the deaths of their loved ones since the beginning of the conflict.
