The terrorists are Abed al-Kader Qawasma, 26 years old, who lives in Hebron, a Hamas operative. His father is Abdullah Qawasma, who served as the head of Hamas's military wing in Hebron and was killed in 2003. The second terrorist is Hassan Mamoun Kapisha, 28 years old, living in Hebron, identified with Hamas. His uncle is a diving coach who was deported in 2011 to Turkey. Another terrorist participated in the attack, but his identity has not yet been verified.
As published earlier, three terrorists arrived in a vehicle from Judea and Samaria at the Tunnels Barrier near Jerusalem and opened fire at the security forces.
