Just moments before Rosh Hashanah: A 20-year-old Israeli citizen was injured today (Thursday) in Uman, Ukraine. He was evacuated by the United Hatzalah ambulance for medical treatment at the local hospital. According to the rescue team's report, the injured individual is suffering from a head injury, and his condition is severe.

Nati Ostri, one of the commanders of the United Hatzalah security operation in Uman, said, "Since the beginning of Operation Uman, we have already responded to approximately 60 different emergency calls received at the international hotline of United Hatzalah. The medical teams of the organization will remain prepared and available even in the days following Rosh Hashanah. Together with the professional teams from the Uman clinic located at the entrance to the main complex of the Breslov Synagogue in Uman, they will provide quick and professional medical assistance for any emergency case."

Aharon Ben Harosh and Matas Shapira, who lead the operation in Uman, added and said, "Dozens of volunteers participating in this operation will be on duty around the clock in the entire area. I call upon the dear public currently in Uman during these days, if you encounter an emergency situation, to use the dozens of signs, including area codes, which have also been hung this year by Uman branch volunteers. This assists in the rapid arrival of medical personnel when necessary."
