A little over a month and a half before the municipal elections, the Israeli government is considering canceling or postponing the elections in no less than 12 cities and towns.
According to the report in News 12, during a discussion of the sub-committee for eradicating crime in Arab society, there was concern about the interference of criminal organizations in the elections.
It was also proposed in the discussion to postpone the elections in 12 municipalities by three months, or to appoint a committee called by the Ministry of the Interior to prevent the interference of the criminal organizations.
During the debate, some of the ministers asked the police representatives for the list of cities and towns where the government is considering postponing or canceling the elections, but the Commissioner refused to give them the list of cities.
