US Envoy Amos Hochstein is reportedly not set to visit Lebanon anytime soon to negotiate a ceasefire in the north between the IDF, Lebanon, and Hezbollah, according to Israel Hayom.
Israeli sources say that the likely reason for this is the absence of any positive signal for a ceasefire on the part of the Lebanese leadership with whom the US is negotiating.
Reports earlier today noted that both senior Lebanese leaders and Hezbollah insist that the IDF entirely end the war and retreat from all of Lebanon before any negotiations can begin.
They also insist that residents of south Lebanese villages whom the IDF forced to evacuate be allowed to return "within hours."
