Is Netanyahu leaving for the UN tonight or tomorrow (or at all)?

Conflicting reports are coming out as to the Prime Minister's plans due to the escalating situation in the north.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's office said today (Wednesday) that there was a "possibility" that Prime Minister Netanyahu would leave for the United Nations General Assembly tonight, despite escalating tensions in the north.

Netanyahu had reportedly previously delayed his trip to the United States until tomorrow due to increased Hezbollah attacks, especially a missile fired at Tel Aviv, but those plans may yet change, according to his office.

In the shadow of the intense attacks that the IDF is launching in Lebanon, the Northern Command Chief, Major General Uri Gordin, visited the commanders and fighters of the 7th Brigade yesterday (Tuesday) during their brigade exercise on the northern border, examined their readiness, and conducted an operational situation assessment with them.

During the visit, the Major General emphasized the importance of the forces' preparedness and readiness to change the security situation and return the residents of the north to their homes.

There are unconfirmed rumors that European countries are currently formulating an initiative that is essentially an American plan based on Resolution 1701 that will lead to stopping the escalation between Hezbollah and Israel. At the same time, communication is taking place with Iran to convince Hezbollah of this.
